Rebekah Griffin - Tango Echo Writer

A Philadelphia resident since 1998, Rebekah was formally educated at Temple University in English and Psychology.

In the winter of 2009, she co-founded the non-profit company SITA, “Social Issues Through Art,” which is dedicated to creating and producing socially conscious artistic works in a variety of mediums.

In the summer of 2009, SITA produced the company’s first full-length documentary theatre piece, “Life on the Spectrum: A Love Story,” which was performed at the Painted Bride Art Center in old City.

Through her work with SITA and her other projects she continues to explore the ways that art can affect the world around us and spark a dialog of change.

As a true Lit junky, Salinger, Fitzgerald, Cheever, Updike and Proust are favorites. Sure that list reads like a canon…but it’s just good.
