The Tango Echo Spring BBQ
During the Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby last weekend, Tango Echo put on a BBQ in the vacant lot where the Team PzKpfw tank is installed. Kate cooked shish kebabs and a keg of beer was in attendance. Propane fireballs kept everyone on their toes and an impromptu bumper car derby ensued..

Wherever you go, there you are.
Early in the year, I got the itch to drive across the country again. I’ve crossed the country a few times, but last summer’s trip got me hooked on doing it in a piece of automotive history. Last year it was a 1959 Triumph TR3 roadster. This year it was a 1965 Ford F-100 pickup. As with the Triumph, I had to do some work before we got on the road. Unlike the Triumph though, I didn’t even own this truck when we made the road trip plans.

Some days you eat the bear, and some days the bear eats you.
Putting a neglected 1965 F100 pickup back into running condition in about two weeks and then driving it across the country in another two weeks seemed like a simple enough proposition when we initially discussed it. A junker driven from Fresno back to Oakland at night with no tail lights and no license plate and a few junkyard trips later, we finally got on the road in our truck.
