Welcome to the Green Age.
We live in a time in which the threats of yesteryear are staring us right in the face. Gone are the warnings and predictions; summations and theories. The global problems terrorizing us now—climate change, deforestation, global warming, ocean pollution—are all too real and all too proactive to ignore.
Clearly, the times are changing, and not just out of the sake of progress; out of necessity. Yet, despite the facts, studies, and historical references that are all screaming “ACT NOW!” there are those big, industrial smoke stacks that just can’t help but slow things down for all of us.

TANGO ECHO @ THE VIRGIN MOBILE FREEFEST 2009
The Virgin Mobile Free Fest will be thrown into high gear and primed to kick music lovers in the teeth with a swarm of those bands you like: Weezer, Jet, Public Enemy, Franz Ferdinand and Girl Talk, just to name a few.
Tango Echo will be right in the mix of it all with our bumper car derby, pirate cannon target practice and our latest contraption, “TV Monster”.
The last remaining Free Fest Tickets are on sale today through Ticketmaster. Get ’em while their hot, and pirate cannon will be sure to cool you off at the fest!
With all of this topnotch monkey business, it sure seems like someone’s got to lose. Must be wreaking havoc on the environment, right? Big festival, tons of people, stomping the life out of whatever’s growing green nearby…

Automotive designer/builder Jack McCornack of Cave Junction, Oregon, is the proprietor of Kinetic Vehicles, an organization that designs alternative, fuel-efficient, low cost sports cars, in addition to selling racecar kits for street, autocross, and track uses. Over the past 40 years Jack has built a name for himself in the spectrum of independent automotive design, accumulating many followers. He actively takes on new challenges and puts his concepts into action. His most recent challenge, summoned up by the Progressive Insurance Automotive X Prize (PIAXP) competition, is to build a viable, super fuel-efficient car that gets at least 100mpg, is production worthy, and is salable in today’s automotive markets. In August of ’07, Jack immediately got to work building his prototype MAX which, in giving credit to his sponsor, Mothers Earth News, stands for Mother’s Automotive X challenger.
